Aim high, take a STEP with ELSA!!!!!!

STEP is a Student Trainee Exchange Program which enables for law students and young lawyers to gain an irreplaceable experience in the field of law practice in a foreign country, to develop their language skills better and to establish valuable contacts in our future profession as lawyers.

STEP is an experience which helps you to build your legal skills and abilities up to a level from which you will find yourself better prepared meeting the professional and cultural challenges in your future. In other words you work today, but you gain tomorrow.

Every year ELSA offers over 100 traineeships all around Europe, and sometimes in the whole world. The duration of one traineeship is from 2 weeks till 18 months, depending from the job itself, and the job position can be in a legal firm, government, NGO, university etc.

During your traineeship the local ELSA group will help you finding your accommodation, will give you all the necessary information for easy adaptation in the environment and will help you with all kind of formalities like visa, job permit etc.

You can apply by following the next easy STEPs:

1. You need to become a member of ELSA Republic of Macedonia. You can apply for a traineeship the same day when you become a member.
2. You have to find a traineeship in which you are interested from the monthly STEP newsletter which the VP STEP provides to you, or you can download HERE
3. You apply by filling in the official STEP Student application form, and you give all your certificates for your academic and work experience for valuation in ELSA Republic of Macedonia
4. After sending your application in Brussels it will be matched with the traineeships that you are interested in and for the results of your application you will be informed from the VP STEP of ELSA Republic of Macedonia.
