ELSA’s Seminars & Conferences key area serves to complement the formal university curriculum aims to give law students and young lawyers the opportunity to learn and discuss legal topics that are not usually included in the curriculm of universtities, to get a better legal, cultural and social education.
The Seminar & Conferences includes
The main aim of the Seminars is to provide students with the possibility of learning something which they can not learn at their university and they cover topics of high international interest, topics of actual interest at that particular moment.
Seminars are events of 3-7 days and the topics in question are discussed in a plenary
Seminars also have a social part, which gives the participants a chance to get to know each other.
Conferences require more more individual participation than a seminar and at a conference more input is expected from the participants themselves.
The main goal of Study Visit is to organize visits and collaboration between the students, members of other national ELSA groups and to provide communication and interaction which will be a solid base for exchanging experience and informations between the members in the future. Study visits may be single, bilateral, multilateral, or institutional
Institutional Study Visit are study visits to international governmental or non-governmental organizations, public administrations or private institutions which gives a chance to ELSA members to get to see upclose how some of the institutions that have crucial meaning for the law profession work, and the opportunity to get some knowledge from the people that work in those institutions, which will be of a great meaning for the further development of the members as successful lawyers.
Law Schools are usually annual events and have a scientific program with a legal topic.
