EVENT AGENDA APPLICATION ACCOMADATION TRAVEL GUIDE

The Conference is planned to be a training of four days, incorporating lecture sessions headed by foreign and domestic experts with different academic and practical background. In order to increase the participation of the students the second and the third day are dedicated to interactivities and simulations where the participants will upgrade their skills of legal writing and develop legal logic in working with cases for breaches of human rights.

The goal is to organize a training where lecturers with different academic profiles will take part and consequently will present various perspectives on the topic. The sessions managed by professors and academics are expected to provide the students with theoretical, philosophical and political foundation of the ECHR and to present a simple introduction to the players and institutions which have been historically engaged. Another perspective on the ECHR is the practical implementation of the legal document. To present this point of view and share their experience in constructing cases founded on the ECHR we plan to invite lawyers from Macedonia and abroad, with background in the field.

An important part of the training is the simulations and the case study sessions. This is an opportunity for the Macedonian law students to take on a   different method of studying law and exchange experience with the visiting students. The last two days are focused on team work and discussing cases concerning breaches on certain articles of ECHR. Students are divided in working groups for the purpose of discussing the facts of the case, the legal arguments and the articles of the ECHR which are applicable. Then each of the groups is to present their work on a joint session of all the participants.
